Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the concept of peace in Islamic education curricula,and to identify the level of containing this concept in Arab schools in Kuala Lumpur; The concept of peace has been divided into three axes; The aspect of peace in relation to thehuman soul (the individual); The aspect of peace in relation to the family; The aspect of peace in relation to the society. A questionnaire was developed that includes the meanings of peace from the Qur’an and Sunnah. Selection of the research sample by intentional method, it was distributed to (119) teachers who are specialized in teaching the Islamic education course in Arab schools in Kuala Lumpur. In this study, the researcher used the descriptive survey method in order to identify the studied phenomenon, and to determine its strengths and weaknesses in order to know the validity of the current topic. The researcher paid more attention to the needs analysis model with internal elements of teachers than with external factors, for the evaluation and development process. The results showed a low level of inclusion in the Islamic education curricula of the desired content of peace. It does not amount to achieving the objectives of peace in the Noble Qur’an and the Sunnah of the students. And inclusion in the curricula of Islamic education.
