Abstract

This study aims to develop a prototype module of the other Qur'anic verses based on thematic verses to help in understanding the Qur'anic verses among the huffaz. The study conducted in order to suggest one‘s  Quranic memorization methodology  based on thematic in which emphasises on words meaning, meanings’  and understanding explanation and evaluation. The rational of this study also because the lack of research and study on Quranic memorization’s methodology among Tahfiz institution. This study is a qualitative study using a document analysis approach. The primary data of the study is the content of the Qur'an while the library references as secondary data. The ADDIE model is used to build the module framework. The findings show that five major themes have been identified namely belief, worship, manner and morals, qasas and science. Based on these themes, a prototype module was introduced. This module is built on six sections with each section having a role in helping to master memorising and understanding Quranic’s texts. This module is expected to be the basis for the development of a more comprehensive module to help huffazes master the memorising and understanding of the Qur'an.
