PENGARUH PEMBELAJARAN AKADEMIK ANAK-ANAK KELUARGA FAKIR MISKIN DI SEKOLAH-SEKOLAH SELANGOR
Abstract
This study aims to identify factors affecting academic achievement of poor children in Malaysia. There are four main factors in this study, namely parents and family factors, teachers and school factors, friends and environment factors, and self-resilient factors. A total of 423 students were involved as respondents in this study. This quantitative research used survey method using a set of questionnaire for the purpose of data collection. Quantitative data was analyzed using SPSS version 23.0 and SEM Amos version 23.0. The results show that the overall factors affecting academic achievement of poor children are high level (mean score = 3.64, SD = 1.40). In addition, the findings also show that there is a significant influence between factors related to academic achievement for children from poor families (Chi Square (χ²) = 409.3, TLI = 0.901, CFI = 0.925, RMSEA = 0.77, CMIN / DF = 3.5). Finally, it is hoped that the results of this study will have positive impact on student learning which could lead to improving their academic achievement.
