PENGETAHUAN IBU BAPA TENTANG PENGURUSAN KURIKULUM PUSAT ASUHAN TUNAS ISLAM (PASTI)
Abstract
PASTI curriculum is a curriculum based on Islamic preschool education concepts specially based on National Education Philosophy, Philosophy of Islamic Education and PASTI Education Philosophy. PASTI's curriculum management incorporates the concept of taabud as a basic and basic curriculum in every learning activity that encompasses all aspects of child development to meet and achieve Tarbiyyah Islamiyyah's goals. The issue, parents' knowledge of PASTI's curriculum, teaching and learning methods and the form of assessment carried out by PASTI teachers are often questioned by parents. Therefore, the study was carried out with the aim of identifying parent’s knowledge about PASTI curriculum management, factors that motivated parents to choose PASTI curriculum and suggestions to enhance parents' knowledge of PASTI curriculum management. Total of 310 questionnaires were distributed to respondents consisting of parents who sent their children at the PASTI kindergarten. Data collection was conducted quantitatively, and interviews were conducted to explore parent retrospection on PASTI curriculum management. The analysis was carried out descriptively. The results showed that parents' knowledge on PASTI curriculum management was low. While 50% of parents choose PASTI curriculum due to the PASTI curriculum module factor used. The findings also suggest that PASTI teachers plan various programs that can enhance parents' knowledge of the PASTI curriculum.
