INSTRUMEN PENTAKSIRAN PRESTASI STANDARD AWAL PERKEMBANGAN KREATIVITI DAN ESTETIKA KANAK-KANAK MALAYSIA: KONSENSUS PAKAR
Abstract
The Assessment Performance of Early Standards for the Development of Creativity and Aesthetics among Children in Malaysia includes the process of task completion by children in a real context. A child’s actual ability refers to a child’s ability to connect, apply, and accomplish tasks in his or her environment that will result in authentic and meaningful learning. This study aims to identify the items of the Standard Performance Assessment Instrument for the Development of Creativity and Aesthetics of Malaysian Children, especially children aged 4 to 6 years based on expert consensus.Data collection was carried out using the Fuzzy Delphi Method and NGT methods. A total of 10 experts in the field of early childhood education, assessment, and evaluation, officials of the Ministry of Education Malaysia (Curriculum Development and Development Division) and preschool teachers were selected to analyze the fuzziness of expert consensus. The findings of the study have listed 26 items that are suitable to be developed as instruments of early standard performance assessment of the development of creativity and aesthetics of Malaysian children. The proposed improvement to implementation is to provide space and opportunities for children to express themselves in an open environment. Besides, examining the traditional artistic elements of Malaysian society that are suitable to be adapted as one form of assessment activity in the early standard performance assessment in the domain of creativity and aesthetic development.
