PERANAN KOMUNITI PEMBELAJARAN PROFESSIONAL DALAM EFIKASI KENDIRI GURU SEKOLAH RENDAH SARAWAK
Abstract
This study aimed to examine the contribution of Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) to teachers’ self-efficacy in Malaysia. Survey data were collected from 450 teachers from 68 primary schools in Sarawak, Malaysia. Linear regression analysis was used to analyze the data. The results have found that shared and supports leadership, result orientated, collective learning and application and supportive condition-(structure) are positive predictors to teacher self-efficacy. The research adds to the growing body of PLC research by affirming professional learning communities roles in changes to teachers’ self-efficacy. The findings also can serve as guidelines for school leaders how to build professional learning communities’ culture that can lead changes to teachers’ self-efficacy.
