Abstract

The expertise and effectiveness of a Malay language teachers can be evaluated through the mastery of teaching techniques that include the use of ICT in teaching and learning (PdPc). This study aims to assess the level of technological knowledge, skills and use of ICT in KOMSAS teaching and learning among Malay language teachers in Kelantan. A total of 297 secondary school’s Malay language teachers in Kelantan randomly selected as the sample rate. There are three main objectives to be achieved in this study. To achieve the objectives of the study, a questionnaire was given to Malay language teachers. Data were analyzed using SPSS Version 22 software descriptively consisting of mean, standard deviation, percentage and frequency. The results showed that the level of technology knowledge among Malay language teachers is high. But the skill level and the use of ICT among Malay language teachers is moderate. Teachers need to be constantly exposed to teaching courses and training that integrate ICT on an ongoing basis. The findings also provide a guide to the MOE to enact or improve KOMSAS curriculum by integrating other elements include knowledge of pedagogy, content, and technology in teaching KOMSAS.
