HUBUNGAN KEPIMPINAN DISTRIBUTIF PEMIMPIN TERHADAP TINGKAH LAKU INOVATIF GURU DI SEKOLAH MENENGAH, PULAU PINANG

This research was conducted to identify the relationship between distributive leadership and teachers' innovative behaviour in secondary schools, Pulau Pinang. The study utilized a quantitative design involving the teachers who currently work in secondary schools. The distributive leadership styles were measured using Distributed Leadership Readiness Scale (DLRS)and teachers’ innovative was measured using the adaptation questionnaire from Janssen (2000). A total of 100 teachers in Pulau Pinang were selected as samples. The data was analysed using Statistical Packages for Social Science (SPSS) version 27. The study's findings show that all four distributive leadership at a high level have a mean score of 4.10. Whereas the level of teacher's innovative behaviour is also at a high level with a mean of 4.12. In addition, there is a positive correlation between the leader's distributive leadership and the teacher's innovative behaviour. Therefore, this study provides evidence of a positive impact on the leadership style that principals need to practice in order to prioritize a school climate that emphasizes the concept of cooperation to facilitate changes.
