PENJENAMAAN SEMULA SISTEM PENTADBIRAN TINGKATAN ENAM: SATU KAJIAN KES
Abstract
This qualitative study utilized a case study design to examine the effect of rebranding of the Form 6 administrative system which has been implemented since 2008. This study aimed to explore the knowledge and understanding of the Form 6 teachers about the impact of rebranding. The study was conducted in a secondary school in Penang and subjects of the study were selected by using purposive sampling. A total of 10 Form 6 teachers was selected as the study sample. The methods of data collection used comprised of interview, observation and document analysis. Results indicated that majority of the Form 6 teachers who support this rebranding administrative system because they view it as a way to improve the current situation of Form 6 that is deteriorating. However there are still some of them who are not satisfied with this rebranding process. This is because of they felt that the new administrative system has increased their workload because there is an added burden of research and colloquium sessions. Furthermore, they are also not satisfied with reward system of promotion. The implication of this study is the goal of rebranding Form 6 administrative system needs to be established in order to improve the effectiveness of the system.
