Abstract
The use of technology in teaching and learning aims to attract pupils and at the same time enhance the effectiveness of teacher teaching. This study aims to identify the factors that become the predictor of the adoption of the Virtual Learning Environment among Malay Language teachers in Selangor. A total of 200 secondary school Malay teachers from the districts of Gombak, Hulu Langat and Klang were randomly selected as respondents. This study is a quantitative research that uses survey methods. The data were collected through a questionnaire that was answered by the respondents. Quantitative data was analyzed using Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) software version 3.2.7. The results of the analysis show that behavioral intention, perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use are a predictor of the adoption of the Virtual Learning Environment when it is found to have significant and positive relationships. Perceived usefulness become the strongest predictor factor in adopting the Virtual Learning Environment. This study is expected to have a positive impact on teachers, administrators and Ministry of Education Malaysia (MoE) in ensuring the successful adoption of the Virtual Learning Environment among Malay Language teachers.
